The Calspan facilities enable cutting-edge research and robust data analysis. The testing facilities can test tyres over a range of loads, velocities, slip angles, inclination angles, and slip ratios, amongst other factors.

The test facilities are capable of delivering road speeds in excess of 200 MPH and tire loads up to 12,000 pounds, Calspan’s continuous flat belt machine can accommodate large test articles and is well suited to truck tires, racing tires, small aircraft tires and more. Calspan also offers wet test capability for traction and hydroplaning evaluations.
