MEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering, 4th Year
CAD Engineer at Safety Devices
Goal for UH22:
My goals for the year ahead as team leader are to complete the build of UH22 earlier in 2019 in comparison to previous years. Being able to gain significant mileage on the car has proved vital to performance and competition preparation by increasing driver confidence and ironing out reliability issues. My goals for the vehicle dynamics department are to improve the team’s ability to predict setup characteristics. After the integration of new lap time simulation and tyre modelling software’s we hope to be able to reference this, our driver-in-loop-simulator and vehicle testing to create optimised setups for each dynamic event.
Favourite Motorsport Memory:
GT4 European Series 2017 – Zandvoort – Qualifying. On a wet and rapidly drying track, as a race engineer for the team, I pushed to change to dry tyres in the final few minutes. The drivers got a top 7 finish in the session and a 3rd place finish in the race.
